Welcome to the School of Public Health and Information Sciences

Undergraduate advising offices are located on the Belknap Campus in the Studio Arts Building.

Our advisors are your academic resource. As a partner in your success journey, advisors work with you to explore your personal, academic and career goals.  Advisors support students in discussing degree options, graduation timelines and providing guidance and/or referral services.

Our advisors meet with all students, including prospective students who want to explore public health as a major. Learn more about the School of Public Health and Information Sciences.

Accelerated Program

Undergraduate students who have earned a minimum of 75 credit hours and a cumulative GPA of 3.25 are eligible to explore the accelerated degree program option.

The accelerated degree program allows qualified students to complete their undergraduate degree and our Master of Public Health (MPH) over a five-year period. The MPH degree provides students with training in foundational competencies as well as a specific area of concentration: health promotion and behavioral sciences, health policy and epidemiology.

Public Health majors can pursue this option as a BA-MPH or BS-MPH by working with their public health advisor. Learn more about the Accelerated Program.

Professional Health Studies Track

The Professional Health Studies Track is available to students enrolled in the BS in Public Health who are interested in attending professional schools such as medical school, dental school, nursing school or physical therapy. This degree track allows students to integrate their prerequisite requirements into their degree program. This track does have special admission requirements and it is important to note that completing this curriculum does not guarantee admission to a professional school.
Pre-Health
For students interested in pursuing a career in a health care-related field such as medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and veterinary medicine.
