Welcome to the College of Business
Stay on course for graduation with the help of our academic advisors. Our team can assist you with:
- Academic policies (bankruptcy, repeating courses, etc.)
- Advising holds on your account
- Changing your majors or adding minors (form available on ULink)
- Course planning and course sequencing
- Full-time/part-time status or course loads
- Graduation degree progress
You are required to meet your advisor if you are a:
- First-semester freshman upon admission into the College of Business (during freshman orientation)
- Transfer student (once admitted into the College of Business)
- Student returning to the College of Business after a break in enrollment of two or more consecutive years
- Student who has changed majors

If you are not a degree-seeking business major, you should seek advising through the following offices:
- Business Minors – Refer to the academic catalog and your assigned major advisor
- Pre-Business – See Exploratory & Transition Advising
- Other Non-Degree Students – Consult the academic unit to which you were admitted
- Visiting Students – Coordinate with your home institution’s advising office
Note: Our academic advisors are not Student Success Coordinators or Ulmer Career Coaches.
If you are on academic suspension or have a non-advising hold on your account, speak to a Student Success Coordinator. If you need assistance with career planning, internships or undergraduate co-ops, visit the Ulmer Center.
The College of Business does not issue prerequisite waivers.
If you are seeking to register for a closed class, it is college policy that you seek approval directly from the chair of the department offering the course.
