Schedule an Advising Appointment.

Students can use CardSmart to schedule appointments with their academic advisor, as well as their Student Success Coordinator. Making an appointment in CardSmart is quick and easy. Click here for step-by-step instructions.

Login with your UofL email address (e.g., fmlast01@louisville.edu) and password. If your password needs to be reset, go to identity.louisville.edu or call the IT Help Desk at 502-852-7997. Contact the CardSmart Service account at cardsmart@louisville.edu

After you schedule your appointment, you'll receive an appointment notification email. You'll also receive an email reminder 24 hours before your appointment and a text message reminder 2 hours before your scheduled appointment. Make sure your cell phone number is up to date in ULink.

See your Advising Notes

You can see all the notes from your advisors in CardSmart. Click on the 'Reports' tab to see the notes from every advisor and appointment you've had. If your advisor attached documents for you, you can access them as well.

Find your Success Team and Current Instructors

In CardSmart, you can see your current classes with the class name, professor(s), and day/time.  On the righthand side, you'll see a list of all the members of your success team. This includes your academic advisor, student success coordinator, and many others. Each term, your current faculty are also listed in your success team. You can email faculty or staff by clicking the grey envelope.

See your Progress Reports

Each fall and spring semester before the last day to withdraw, your faculty complete progress reports to provide feedback on your progress in their course. You can see these progress reports  in the 'Reports' tab. If your instructor has concerns about your performance in the class so far, you and your advisor will receive an email. You may also receive some information from REACH about tutoring or study strategies, or you may receive an email from your advisor asking you to come in and talk about how your semester is going. If you are not marked at-risk, you will not receive an e-mail, but you can still see the progress report in CardSmart. If you have additional questions regarding progress reports, please contact your academic advisor.
