MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Cards,
Coming from a Cardinal family, the University of Louisville has always felt like a second home. From the students and faculty to the football games, the vibrance of the UofL community is why I do what I do. As such, I am honored and grateful to serve as your Student Government Association President this year.
My goal is simple: to create an SGA for All - an organization that listens, represents, and uplifts every student’s voice. As your liaison between the student body and the administration, I’m committed to ensuring your concerns are heard and your ideas are turned into action.
In years prior, I served as the Engage Lead Serve Board (ELSB) Animal Welfare Committee Co-Director and Assistant to the Academic Vice President, later earning the privilege of serving as Academic Vice President for the 2024-2025 year. Beyond SGA, I have served in leadership positions in Chi Omega, the McConnell Scholar’s Program, and worked with Kentucky Refugee Ministries and Refuge UL. Through these activities, I have cultivated a deeper understanding of the needs of the student body, which I will utilize to better serve the UofL community during my term.
This year, I’m especially excited to welcome the Class of 2029 and all new students to campus! Whether you’re a first-year or a returning student, I hope you’ll take every chance to get involved - because at UofL, there truly is something for everyone. From academic organizations to service opportunities, your involvement is what keeps our campus proactive and thriving.
Wherever you're from, I’m so glad you’ve found your place at UofL. I have a lot of love for this university, and I hope you’ll share this sentiment as you walk across the stage. And if we haven’t met yet, please stop by the SGA office or say hello around campus - I’d love to get to know you!
GO CARDS!
Thank you,
Macy Waddle, Student Government Association President
