University Honors Program

Level up your college experience

Get the best of both worlds at UofL Honors: the close-knit feel of a small college combined with the endless opportunities of a major research university. In our discussion-based small classes, you'll connect with professors and fellow forward-thinkers while tackling exciting challenges. Whether you're conducting groundbreaking research, studying abroad or making real impact in our community, you'll find the perfect blend of challenge and support to fuel your ambitions.

Beyond the classroom

Your Honors experience extends far beyond traditional academics. From day one, you'll be part of a dynamic community that supports your growth and ambitions. Start your journey living among fellow Honors students in Kurz Hall, where late-night study sessions often turn into lifelong friendships.

  • Live and learn in Kurz Hall, our dedicated Honors residence
  • Connect with professional mentors in your field of interest
  • Share your research at national honors conferences
  • Work alongside faculty on groundbreaking research projects
  • Lead community service initiatives that make real impact

These experiences aren't just resume builders – they're opportunities to discover your passions, develop leadership skills and make meaningful contributions to both the academic community and the world beyond campus.
