Eight Dimensions of Wellness
Emotional wellness controls how we react to and process our feelings. Having good emotional wellness is key to responding to emotional events in a healthy way.
Environmental wellness affects how we interact with ourselves, our community, and the environment around us. A healthy planet and environment helps promote a healthy mind.
Financial Wellness is essential for managing our expenses. Having good money management skills is crucial for limiting stress.
Intellectual wellness is how we keep a sharp and active mind. The mind is a muscle we must exercise, and students have all the more reason to hone those intellectual skills.
Occupational Wellness is more than just putting in your best effort at work; it is about finding meaning and satisfaction with what you do.
Physical Wellness is all about helping your body feel the best that it can. Whether that be through eating the right foods or engaging in physical activity, a healthy body helps make a healthy mind.
Social wellness impacts how we build relationships in our lives. Healthy and meaningful relationships with our friends, family, and community create a sense of belonging.
Spiritual wellness is how we find meaning and purpose in our lives and even how we discover our inner selves. Whether that be through faith, morals or the driving principles we live our lives by.
