SGA ACADEMIC VICE PRESIDENT GABRIEL REED

Hi, I'm Gabriel, and I will be serving as this year's SGA Academic Vice President. I am majoring in Political Science with minors in Economics and History. During the 2025–2026 school year, I served as a Senator for the College of Arts and Sciences, where I chaired the Appropriations Committee and served alongside faculty and fellow students on the Discipline and Grievances Committee. Outside of SGA, I am a member of the KY Beta chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon, where I directed our philanthropy and service initiatives as Vice President of Services in 2025. I am also a founding member of BridgeUofL, serving as its Vice President of Events. Additionally, I participated in the First Year Leadership Program during the 2024–2025 academic year and worked in Frankfort through the Frankfort Internship Program. Outside of UofL, I am a licensed referee for both the United States Soccer Federation and the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. In my free time, I enjoy running, playing soccer, and attending sports games. I am looking forward to working with students, faculty, and staff to create a better academic environment for everyone on campus!
