Welcome Week 2026

Whether you're moving into a residence hall or commuting to campus, Welcome Week is your chance to kick off your UofL experience! Meet new people, explore campus, discover resources, and find out what it really means to be a Louisville Cardinal.

Welcome Week 2026 takes place Thursday, August 13–Sunday, August 16, with select events on Wednesday, August 12 , for students moving in early and commuters who are able to make it to campus that evening. Throughout the week, you'll participate in events designed to help you build friendships, connect with campus, explore Louisville, and start your college journey with confidence.

Our 2026 programming will include:

  • SAB Block Party
  • Cardinal Kickoff Dinner
  • Academic Open houses
  • UofL Alumni Picnic and Tie Dye Party
  • Night at the Rec.
  • Icebreaker Yard Show
  • UofL Night at Kentucky Kingdom
  • ...and so many more!
