Programs & Events
PEACC offers a number of different events throughout the year. Dates and times for events will be shared on PEACC social media. Email peacc@louisville.edu with your questions.
PEACCful Yoga:
PEACC provides trauma informed yoga sessions every semester. This offering is open to our entire campus community. PEACCful Yoga is an open space to connect with your body and breath. You will be invited to notice sensations of movement, stretch, strength and being. The intention of this practice is to provide space to explore, notice and engage in a new way with your body on your own terms.
Workshops:
PEACC provides training to classes and other groups on campus on a regular basis. We have a menu of topics for our community, including
- How to Help a Friend, a workshop to learn more about what to say if a friend discloses to you
- Staff & Faculty Trauma Informed Care, an online self-directed training for faculty and staff to learn more about how they can work with student survivors in a trauma-informed way
- Green Dot Bystander Intervention, a workshop to learn how to be an active bystander and intervene safely when you notice warning signs of interpersonal violence
Seasonal Events:
PEACC provides a number of additional events each semester. Past events have included
- Take Back the Night Marcy and Rally, held each April for Sexual Assault Awareness Month
- Give Some PEACC, a donation drive for local shelters organized during the holiday season
- Time for PEACC, an awareness event to honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October
